Potjie Pots are made in many sizes from small herb pots to large sugar kettles and seasoned with an edible high quality flax oil which immediately starts the seasoning process.

TO PREPARE FOR COOKING THE FOLLOWING STEPS ARE RECOMMENDED
1. Wash out thoroughly with boiling water and scouring pad and leave to dry.
2. Coat the inside with cooking oil (any) and heat till oil begins to smoke.Allow the pot to cool.
3. Using a paper towel wipe inside clean. Repeat until towel wipes clean. DO NOT leave them to drip-dry.
4. The pot is now ready for use. The more you use it the better it becomes.
TO CLEAN AND STORE THE POT THE FOLLOWING STEPS ARE RECOMMENDED
1. After each use Wash, dry and coat inside with oil. DO NOT leave them to drip-dry.
2. Store in dry place with absorbent paper inside. Do not put the lid back on.
